Clone-A-Willy Glow in the Dark Kit – Sex Toy Review
What’s Halloween without things that glow in the dark? It’s a lot less fun… that’s what! Thankfully Clone-A-Willy was on hand to help lend an eerie glow to my day with the Glow in the Dark Vibrating Clone-A-Willy Kit!
This is my second attempt at a Clone-A-Willy Kit and I wish I could say I’ve gotten better at the whole process… but I haven’t… not at all… in fact, I think I somehow got worse. While my first attempt at a Clone-A-Willy looked charmingly lopsided, yet still functional… this most recent one looks positively grotesque… which I suppose is fitting considering that it’s Halloween. I’ve created a monster! It’s alive! IT’S ALIVE! I’m sure even Dr. Frankenstein had his own off days while working on his own creation… we can’t all be on our A-game 100% of the time.
So, there is definitely a learning curve when it comes to cloning willies and I just haven’t quite got there yet… in school I was always at the top of my class on the academic/book learning stuff… but as soon as it came to anything I had to physically do with my hands… like chemistry or dissections in biology (after really struggling with the starfish and crawfish I opted to just sit the fetal pig out and do extra credit reading for my grade) … I quickly fell to the bottom of the class. I don’t know what it is… I guess I’m not good with my hands! Lucky for me though, I do have a third Clone-A-Willy Kit on standby in my closet… so I’ll be giving this another go in the near future (then writing a third Clone-A-Willy review where I probably once again fail spectacularly). Don’t get me wrong, this is definitely (mostly) not the kits fault! The instructions are actually pretty clear and easy to read, it’s straight forward and understandable, so that’s not the problem… it’s just that the first few steps move so fast! Things have to be so precise (temperature and timing) and happen in a certain way and this makes me panic! My brain can’t quite handle this kind of fast paced madness… which is probably why I don’t work as a short order cook.
I feel like so many things went wrong… I don’t really know where to start! Okay, I guess what started it all snowballing down hill is the fact that we cut down the tube too short on accident. This meant when my Stunt Cock inserted his penis down into the tube it ended up displacing a ton of the molding material onto my floor. This in turn made the mold of his penis look a bit wonky… as there just wasn’t enough molding agent left in the tube once everything was said and done. So I guess I can’t stress this first part enough… really take time reading the instructions… prepping everything… and just mentally preparing yourself for this… because there is little to no room for error if you want to end up with a nearly flawless dick replica!
Not everything we did was wrong though…we did learn a few things from the last Clone-A-Willy Kit we tried. For example, this time around my Stunt Cock shaved all the hair around his cock and balls, as he remembered his pubic hairs getting pulled and pinched in both the cock ring we used to maintain a hard erection and in the molding material itself. So this time around, we avoided any unnecessary pubic hair pulling! Also, while we are talking about it… having a cock ring on hand is definitely something I recommend… despite what anyone wants you to believe there is NOTHING sexy about this whole process and trying to maintain a rock hard erection is tough while trying to prep everything and pour and mix then while just standing there with your penis balls deep in a tube for of goo… you would have to be a fuckin’ superhero to stay 100% hard through all that (although I’m sure there are those of you out there who can do that… and I tip my hat to you)!
Something else worth noting about beginning a Clone-A-Willy Kit is that it is a time consuming process. The actual mixing and casting part goes pretty quick (too quick… I don’t have enough time to think straight) but then you have to wait for things to dry and set. So the first round of waiting happens before you even get to mix the silicone… you have to wait for the mold of the penis to harden up into a usable mold… which for us took a good eight hours. The instructions say it takes four to eight hours… but at the four hour mark our mold was still pretty soft and wet. Then after that, you mix up the silicone, pour it in then settle in for some more waiting. This takes even longer than the first stage of waiting… you’ll be waiting on the silicone for a good 24 hours! So if you’ve planned some kind of sexy date with your partner and think you’re going to knock out one of these clones in just an evening… sorry… your guest will not be going home with any replica penis party favors that night. So maybe make your date a sleepover? Also… watch this handy demo video from Clone-A-Willy… I kind of wish I had watched it before hand… its kind of nice to see all the steps in action.
Okay, but even though my seconded attempt at the Clone-A-Willy Kit was pretty much a complete and utter disaster… it was a rather enjoyable disaster. However, I really do wish this attempt had turned out better, the glow in the dark material of this particular kit is really pretty cool (my last kit was a neon pink color). I sure would have liked to have a glowing replica of my Stunt Cocks penis… instead I have a glowing… half penis half blob thing. It’s quite terrifying… just as a Halloween creation should be I suppose… straight out of a horror movie… the disembodied, disfigured, penis monster! I’m not even 100% sure what happen… but somehow we managed to make just a clone of the head of his penis… the shaft somehow… didn’t end up as part of the mold. I know we lost a lot of the initial molding material… but it still looked like there was enough left to cover his shaft… this is just a straight up Halloween mystery. What we did manage to clone though does look pretty nice… I have a nice… penis head replica… so thats cool. I’ll keep him on my desk and call him Igor.
This Clone-A-Willy Kit comes with a really crappy vibrator that you are supposed to insert into the gooey silicone after you’ve poured it into the mold. My last kit was also for a vibrating version of the Clone-A-Willy (these kits also come in a milk chocolate or Clone-A-Pussy versions) and I had a lot of issues with the vibrator. First off, after I inserted the vibrator into the silicone, I couldn’t get it to stay in the middle… it kept drifting to one side or the other, even though I used the little bit of cardboard as the instructions instructed me to. It also displaced a bit of the silicone, causing parts of my toy to end up looking thinner than other parts. And finally, the vibrator is shitty and weak and I had a hard time feeling it through the silicone of the toy… I’m just not sure its worth it… the vibrating part just feels like a bit of a novelty thrown in… as if just having a fun, life-like, personalized penis replica wasn’t enough… they thought making it vibrate was the next best step… I am pretty sure I disagree… this toy would be far better as just the silicone replica. So, this being said… and the fact that our mold ended up shorter then the actual length of Stunt Cocks penis… we decided to forgo the vibrator and must make a solid silicone toy. But, if you were to decide you didn’t want to use the vibrator in your kit either… but you did everything else correctly… you may need to purchase an extra tub of silicone from Clone-A-Willy… as I am not sure if there is enough silicone… if Clone-A-Willy took into account the silicone that would be displaced by the vibrator… and therefore did not include as much silicone as would be needed for a solid toy… does that make sense? I could just be talking wildly out my ass (I’ve been known to do that from time to time)… but extra silicone can be easily purchased straight from Clone-A-Willy… so if you think my theory is sound… or you have an enormous dick… or you are just clumsy and you dumped your tub of silicone all over the floor… go ahead and purchase some more silicone. Just to give you an idea… it took the entire amount of included silicone for us to just make what you see below… which turned out to be just the head and a small portion of the shaft.
So, I’m not sure I would recommend the Clone-A-Willy as a way to get a fully functioning, flawless silicone toy… unless you are far more masterful at sex toy crafting than I am… but even then… it is going to take far more professional materials/equipment than is found in the Clone-A-Willy Kit to make a “store-quality” dildo. However, I think the Clone-A-Willy Kit is still good for a great giggle, my Stunt Cock and I had just as much fun and as many laughs as we did the first time we attempted this. So if you are looking for a way to spend time with your favorite penis friend and want something more than just another night of Netflix and Chill, you can grab yourself a Clone-A-Willy Kit and role play as someone who knows what they are doing with tiny tubs of silicone! If you go into this whole process knowing that its silly, its awkward, and you’ll probably yell at each other (or at least Stunt Cock and I did…because we don’t stand up well under pressure) you are most likely going to have a good time and regardless of how your cloned willy turns out, it’s still a fun souvenir and conversation starter. You will always be able to look back and say “hey, remember that one time we tried to clone that dick?” and then you can throw your heads back and laugh and laugh… Don’t worry… I’m going to try this again… and again… and again… until I finally make something that actually looks like a functioning human penis.
